GOAT THE HEAD Completes Recording New Album
June 15, 2009Norwegian death metallers GOAT THE HEAD have finished recording their sophomore album and are currently mixing the effort at the Antfarm studio in Århus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen. The band says, "Safe to say, these are exciting times as we're waiting to hear the first results of this intriguing cooperation!"
Songtitles set to appear on the new GOAT THE HEAD album include "Salt", "Uncanny Valley Clan" and "Bestial Domestication".
GOAT THE HEAD last year parted ways with bassist Snorre Hovdal and relced him with Trond Frønes (CADILLAC, ALL TROUBLE).
GOAT THE HEAD's video for the song "Darwinian Minions" — an epic track whose no-holds-brutality lasts a whopping 16 seconds — can be viewed below.
"Darwinian Minions" comes off the group's debut album, "Simian Supremacy", which was released via Tabu Recordings in October 2007.
Musically ferocious, uncouth and coarse in appearance, the Trondheim-based GOAT THE HEAD prefers to keep things "simple and organic," an attitude that is mirrored in its live shows, peppered with nudity and primitive rituals.
